Why do some animals have 4 legs
Answers:
Most mammals, reptiles and amphibians have four legs to be able to move faster. Our ancestors had four legs to be able to move faster, early rats and mice; they sacrificed this advantage to be able to climb with ease. They evolved into primates. Eventually our strand of apes hit the floor of the African plains, walked upright to see among the grass, and grew taller to expose this advantage and their front legs became arms, as it would be more useful than legs.
