Doubtful. No prohibition under Federal Law. Federal overtime Law (FLSA) would only apply if your employer requires or permits you to work in excess of 40 hours per week. Possible state law coverage, but very doubtful.

I'm no expert on the subject, just another laborer in the "trenches," but I've been told that the job description, which would include determination of workload, is totally within the control of the employer. Various laws and regulations relate to hours and wage rates, but to my knowledge not to the amount of work to be done in a specified amount of time. j3h
