When i first starting dating my ex-girlfriend, i couldn't believe how quickly she fell for me. She told me within the first couple of weeks of dating that she loved me and wanted to marry me(i didn't think this was normal at first). It felt wonderful at first knowing that someone really cared for me. As time went on, i started noticing things about her personality that started to effect me. 1. She hated it if i wanted to spend time with friends, even if it was only once a month. 2. If i wasn't physically with her, then i had to be on the phone with her. 3. She sometimes called me names, and would always say things like 'you don't love me' or 'you don't do anything in the relationship'. (i was the one that was doing everything). 4. She would never admit to being wrong, and say that everything was my fault. 5. She accused me of seeing someone else if i wasn't with her(insecurity). These were just a few things.....
After help from family and friends and getting their advice, they all said the same thing that she wasn't treating me right and that she had issues. I finally came to the conclusion that it wasn't me with the problem, it was her, and that i was in an emotionally abusive relationship.
Don't try. Let him figure it out. You can tell him. But chances are he'll be too proud to believe you.
